Using Daily or Weekly 3G Subscription at Chunghwa Prepaid Ideal Card

Sometimes asome person just needs a 3G subscription package in Taiwan at certain times such as when travelling. Some other may have been having an internet connection on WiFi in its residence and work and just need a 3G subscription at certain times only. Fortunately, Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan provide 3G services in daily and weekly package and can be activated at any time. Here are the steps required for this service.


  1. Go to the nearest outlet Chunghwa Telecom.
  2. Tell the clerk to activated your 3G service, the officer will ask us to fill out a form and sometimes they replaced our SIM card from 2G to 3G. It is required to pay money for 300 NTD for activation and this money will be deposit as your balance. Once completed, the card is ready for 3G subscription.
  3. To start 3G services, call a 539. Follow the instructions on the phone and select the desired package and complete. Do not forget to change the APN to Chunghwa Internet by name: internet without username and password. The following packages to choose from are :


  • 1-day: NT $ 100
  • 3-days: NT $ 250
  • 5-days: NT $ 300
  • 7-days: NT $ 450
  • 10-days: NT $ 500
  • 30-days: NT $ 900
